Woodlanders First Student to complete Woodland Management Course

A student from Arnewood school has secured a place at Sparsholt College after spending two years with Woodlander Coppice Hoburne Bashley.

The Woodland Management course initially constructed by Woodland Manager Paul Brockman two years ago has enabled a partnership between Arnewood School and Woodlander to give students an exciting opportunity to pursue the land based industry. This scheme will continue this year with more students. This long term project gives pupils who may otherwise not be clear in the direction of their career path an opportunity to gain the practical skills and portfolio building needed for continued further education.

Sparsholt Agricultural College in Winchester has offered this student a place for this coming term. In a statement the student said “the course has been very good and has made me learn so many different new things and made me want to come to school more”
