Thanks to the New Forest National Park Authority a fund is available to eligible New Forest, Southampton and Bournemouth schools to subsidise the cost of coach travel to the New Forest.
Grants of £150 are available in summer 2014 and £250 in winter 2014/15 can be claimed to reduce the inhibitive costs of travel. We want as many pupils as possible to get out into the New Forest and experience the beautiful landscape and unique culture for themselves. Hopefully, it will be one of those trips they remember for a long time to come!
Schools can make one claim a year, and the visit must be to an organisation that is a member of the New Forest National Park Educator’s forum. Take a look here for map and full list of the exciting places you can visit for a high quality and inspiring school visit. Last year nearly 40 schools claimed a total of £7000 between them.
Eligible schools will be notified by email when the fund opens for 2014. Ask your admin officer if they’ve received the email, book a date for your visit with your education providers, then contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to find out how to claim. Requests are handled on a first come, first serve basis.
