March saw the first of our primary school sessions for this year and what a lovely couple of days we had. The children explored a beautiful sunny Forest and recorded their findings with the new digital equipment.
As part of the New Forest Centre’s education provision we take children out in the New Forest to explore and record their findings using both digital cameras and voice recorders. This mean that the children are recording what they have discovered which means there is more to talk about and discuss when back at school.
Fair Oak Juniors were the first group out this year and were so lucky to get the first sunny break in the weather. It meant that the children were able to take some stunning photographs of the New Forest in springtime.
These photographs and the voice recordings will be downloaded and sent back to Fair Oak Junior School for them to use in whichever way suits their topic. All I know is that the children had a lot if fun and came away with a sense of how wonderful the New Forest is.
